The Barn

Before we could start working in our new offices, we had to build our new offices! Our team, as well as many others from Greater Europe Mission and many, many volunteers have worked together to renovate an old barn in Kandern, Germany into our new office building.

It has taken an incredible amount of work, but the (almost) finished result is pretty impressive! We are so thankful for God's grace and provision that we have seen over and over during the course of this project.

Carpe Amor

We just finished a project we're calling "Carpe Amor". It is a short video that illustrates the devastating effects of sin in relationships. This was our first video project to work on as a team! Click HERE to see the video.

Media and Missions

GemStone Media is a ministry of Greater Europe Mission creating innovative and relevant media to help advance the Kingdom of God throughout Europe.

Because creating media is what we do, we often think about the role of media in ministry. Some the ways that we think media can play a role in ministry are to...

  • Educate regarding the spiritual need
  • Inform regarding ministry opportunities
  • Increase prayer and financial support
  • Empower missionaries in their God-given ministries
  • Share the Gospel in creative ways
  • Express the creative nature that God has given us, as an expression of His creativity

Meet Rebecca!

Rebecca spent a couple months this summer working with Jim and Sara Meyer in video production. During her time with us, she was able to help with the GEM promotional video and a couple other smaller (though no less significant!) projects.

One of Rebecca’s favorite parts of helping us out was getting to watch the interview footage of folks who are ministering in Europe: “It’s exciting to see the cool things that God is doing in Europe!”

Rebecca will be graduating at the end of this year (2008) from Carthage College in Wisconsin with a BA in Geography & Geographic Information Systems. Rebecca hopes that God will eventually bring use in full-time ministry. It was a privilege to get to know Rebecca, and we wish her God's blessings for her future!

It describes a bit of our passion for ministry in Europe, who we are, and what we do.
Drop us a note and let us know what you think!

Welcome to GemStone Media's blog!

We hope that our blog will give you a feel for how God is using our team for His purposes in Europe! Blogging is also a quick way to share about the current projects GemStone Media is working on and describe important events within our department. Please pray that God’s glory would be made known through our projects and pray for the effectiveness of our team. And thanks for dropping by!
